Promoting at your School

Here is a list of some suggestions for promoting the

Dollar for a Drink project at your school:

● Print out and put up the downloadable posters provided on the promotion page. There are two sizes;

     8x11 (regular printing size) and 11x17 (for larger posters)

● Show the promotional video at a school event (also available for download)

● Print out the provided flyers (or make your own), and hand them out to as many people as you can!

● Organize a fundraiser, such as a contest of some sort, to raise money for the cause. Use your

     creativity and imagination here!

● Make DfaD a part of a school assignment of yours, such as a writing project

● Present a speech to your school on the Global Water crisis and how they can help!

● Hold a "jeans day". This will only work with school that have a dress code. For one day, students can

     wear jeans if they donate a dollar (I have a friend who had this happen in her school, even though it

     wasn't for DfaD)

     Whether you are in middle school, high school, or college, you come into contact with many other people every weekday who have the potential to give a dollar! There is a great opportunity in your school; you just need to give it a push!

     I do need to emphasis something to you however: you must get permission from the principle/leader of your school or class before you can do any promoting! I don't want any "unauthorized" DfaD promotion going on, for obvious reasons. ; ) I will encourage you to go ahead and ask for permission even if you don't think that your principle will give you the green light; you never know, he/she just may!

     Secondly, just as clarification, last year I requested that if you wanted to promote the cause in your school you needed to "register" yourself with me via mail. This is no longer a requirement.

     One thing to make clear here: the following is not an all inclusive list; it is meant to be added to! If you should have any questions or suggestions to make, then please contact me!
