While Dollar for a Drink's primary goal is to raise money for fresh water in Africa, I've got a secondary goal as well: get as many teens and young people involved in the project as I can. I want to challenge my generation to rise above the expectations of mediocrity our culture has for us and make a difference the world; because you know what? You can make a difference — don't let anyone else tell you otherwise!
Essentially, DfaD is fully dependent on "word of mouth" to reach its' goals; that is, I depend on you to spread the word and tell your friends and family about the cause. I need your help—the people of Africa need your help! So, in addition to donating your dollar, I would encourage you to consider promoting DfaD wherever you are, whether you're in highschool or 37. Below are some links to the most popular internet networking sites; visit Twitter for the MiniBlog, Flickr for DfaD's photostream, and YouTube for the promotional video.
