$10,000 Donated - 42% of our Goal!
My, it has been a while since I last blogged; I have been quite busy lately. I apologize for my inactivity here none-the-less.
Over the past few weeks I prepared for a big event on my and DfaD's calendar: the Super Smash Bros. Brawl Tournament to be held at Union University. The tournament took place yesterday evening and was (as far as I could tell) a huge hit. We have 60-70 people show up, and we had 47 entrants. We raised, from a combination of entry fees, separate donations, and money raised from my sisters' bake-sale (also at the event), a little over 350 dollars!
The whole event ran very smoothly, I could tell everyone was having a fun time, and above all I really felt the Lord's hand over the proceedings. Initially, I was hoping for four TVs (and even then not all digital), but by the time of the event, I had six flatscreen TVs all over 30", seven Wii systems (and copies of the game), as well as more than enough controllers. Yep, God was in it! :D
We had some truly spectacular…
