Final Preparation...

We are sooo close to project launch! (tomorrow!) Wow. It is really amazing to see how the Lord has brought this organization along. Soli Deo Gloria! :D

Now, as to current goings on, here is the list:

- We received an order of 200 poster prints (100 of each of the two types), which were donated by Allegra Printing here in Jackson, earlier on in the week. Thanks so much Allegra! :D

- Today I met with a friendly girl named Kelsey Nagy. Kelsey is a reporter for the Cardinal and Cream, which is Union's newspaper, and she was meeting with me for an interview on the DfaD project. Everything went really well, and I look forward to seeing the final article! Hopefully, we can get the attention of the Baptist Press through this, which would be huge. Thank you so very much Kelsey for your time!

- A little later on in the afternoon I met with Joshua Hays, whom you should notice (if you have been keeping up with the blog) is one of the two Promotion Leaders at Union University. I dropped off about…

More large website updates

Mmkay... let's see. This weekend has been very eventful for the DfaD project, mainly in the online arena and computer tech stuff. Let's go down the list of tweaks to the website...

1) Home page: We tweaked the side bar some. You can now find links to BGR's website, a link to a "Tell-a-Friend" page, where you can send a message to a friend whom you think might be interested in the project. As to the main page content, we added the "Donate" button which now links to the new donate page (more on that in a moment). We also did some basic editing.

2) About page: Major addition. This page basically went from nothing to pretty much complete. This page gives some basic info on what the project is, a bit about myself, and the history of the project.

3) Donate page: Probably the biggest update on the whole site. We went into our Network for Good account and edited all of the information for the Donation page. Network for Good is an organization that works specifically with non-profits and is…

Major website update, among other major things...

Greetings all! I am sure that if you are reading this then you should have noticed that the website has been updated. The three main changes are that we changed the design (what do you think of it?), the home page has had a major renovation, and there were several items added to the "download" list on the Promotion page. I would encourage you to check these out, and I would love to hear what you think!

Ok, so the website was updated, but what else has been happening? There were three major things that happened today:

- My dad made contact with one of the main printing companies here in Jackson (I'm not sure which one) and the guy that he talked with was very positive. There are probably going to do posters for all of the schools in our area! That would probably be 250 posters or so. Now, this is just for the schools in my area, so this is not for shipping to everyone else around the country. You will have to figure that part out yourselves. (Sorry!)

- Donation wise, we have found that…

The First Donation!

Well, I am pleased to announce that we received the first real donation today for DfaD! The amount? $250!!! And not only that, but it was from a college student! I will not give a name, but I thank the donor so very much for his contribution!

No, we have not started promoting yet, but my dad had just told his class about the project, and I guess that this particular student was ready to donate right away! The Lord is good. :)

A Day at Union

There are three big things to note of today...

1) I am completely well! This was a great blessing, as my Old Testament class began today. I was able to attend, and even though it only introductory stuff, I can tell that I am going to enjoy the class. :) I thank God that I was able to sleep through the night last night and that my fever was gone when I got up. Thank you all who were praying for me! :D

2) On the way to Union, my dad and I were able to stop by First State Bank and speak with the president (I think?...) who is a friend of my dad's. We introduced the project to him and and asked him about a matching grant. For those of you who don't know, this means that if the schools in our area raise $4,000, then the bank would match that with another $4,000. Not only does this help our project, but it's great publicity for them. There was no definite answer, but he sounded interested. Please pray that this will actually work out! :)

3) I got with Matt Elia and Joshua Hays this…

A quick update here...

Hello everyone! I'm terribly sorry that I have not gotten around to updating this blog for a while. Mainly, I am planning on using the blog to keep you up-to-date on big happening for the project. And to be honest, there really haven't too many "big" happenings lately.

To start off with, I'm sick. I had one of the worst nights of sleep last night of my life. And my body just decided to malfunction the day before I start my Old Testament class at Union University (I am duel enrolling). Please pray that I am fully well by tomorrow morning!

Secondly, I have gotten five or so messages from people who are wanting to promote the project, which is just great! If you are wanting to promote the project yourself, and you haven't registered yourself with me yet, then I would strongly encourage you to do so. There is also a guy who is going to be doing work on a promo video for us!

And finally, once I get better, I am going to start the next phase in preparation. That is, making the posters,…

Site Launch!

Yes!!! The site is finally up for review! :D The Lord is good. :)

I hope that you all like it. I know that there is still alot left to do here, but with your help, I think that this site can become very useful in the advancement of God's kingdom! To all you Rebelution people out there who have expressed interest in the project: If you are still interested in helping with the project in anyway, please contact me. I know that many of you simply want to promote it, so head on over to the promotion page to get started. As to those of you who have expressed wanting to help in other ways, I will send you a PM on the Forum (or you can contact me if you would like).

As an update on the project's status, my dad and I were able to set up a bank account for the project, as well as a P.O. Box address, which can be found on the contact page. Also, Mr. Abraham Shepherd of BGR (Baptist Global Response) has gotten me in contact with a couple who is doing work in Sudan. I am going to ask them for some…
