Well Price Info

I just recently received some info from Mr. Palmer about the prices of the wells where we installed our well:

"You can tell folks that a well like the one you helped sponsor would cost an average of $800 to $1,500 in most places. However, due to the isolated area and the armed conflict, the cost of things like this are escalated.

The well is about 200 ft deep. The casing is 6 in metal pipe and is laid to a depth of about 150 ft. There is a draw pipe that is 2 in (PVC) that goest to about 180 ft. The pump is an UN approved Mark 4 type pump which is very common in this part of the world. Other materials in the construction are a small amount of cement and sand.

If you look at the actual price of materials, they will cost around $3000 to $4000. This is about triple or quadruple to other areas of the world where ther is no conflict.

Transportation of materials and equipment is another huge cost and is severely escalated in conflict zones. I am not sure in the case of your well, but…
