DfaD Well Pictures received!

I know that I presented this on the front page, but I wanted to write it down here too. Please read the front page for full info.

Anyway, I little while ago I received two photos. One is of the actual well which DfaD funded, and the other is of some children from the village! (Click the images to enlarge them)

Sudan Borehole

Sudanese Children

While it may not look large, it is ministering to 6000 individuals in Sudan! Prior to this well's installation, the people of this village (the name of which cannot be identified here due to security reasons) had to walk 4 - 6 hours (one way) just to get to fresh water! In response to finding out that DfaD is interested in raising more funds for future wells, the response in Sudan was: "We need all the help that we can get. We need people like yourself who will help us to quench the thirst of the needy; thus giving them hope."

I look forward to next year! As a reminder, DfaD shall resume fundraising on September 1st 2009. If you are interested in raising money for DfaD,…

Donations Hand-Off

Well, I'm not so sure of how many people are going to read this, but I'm gonna write it anyway for those of you who do! :)

This will be a brief blog entry, but it is about a very important event in DfaD's history. Basically, I handed off $11,200 (in the form of a check) to Mark Kelly who is  a main worker for BGR. He also interviewed me for an article for Baptist Press and BGR (I believe). We didn't have alot of time, but it was pretty neat.

In terms of an update about where we are in the process of the wells, Mr. Palmer has informed me that it is very possibly completed! Mr. Palmer was supposed to be going into Sudan soon (tomorrow, actually), but due to political issues, I'm not so sure now if he is going to be able to. Please pray that the Lord makes it work out! (all in his timing of course!)

Also, please be praying for the Sudanese people that their hearts will be receptive of the Gospel.

I will keep you all updated when more info comes in!
